On Hold

We changed our plans again. The trip to the Keys didn't  seem doable. People reserve slips at marinas a year in advance and since we don't plan that far out, we decided to cross Florida through Lake Okeechobee. The last lock on this waterway is scheduled to close for 3 months for repair. We made it across before the shutdown and ended up on the East Coast. It is way too soon to start the trip north, even with our slow pace, so we found a boat yard that hauled the boat out of the water and stored it on the `hard`. We will continue in March. I think we just needed a break. We are back in the cold of NEPA for awhile.
