Beaufort, SC

Today we traveled up the ICW and crossed the Port Royal Sound. The Sound was angry. The waves crashed over the bow. It was about 5 miles across this waterway. The last time we had that much chop we were on the Great Lakes.

We passed Paris Island Marine Depot, a place I spent 3 months at in 1973. We took a well earned rest at the marina. They only had room for one night so the next day we docked at the free city docks for the day and

toured Beaufort. At night we anchored pass the marina in Factory Creek.
