Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 

Our daughter, Joanne flew down for a visit. We booked three nights at Bull River Marina outside the city. Joanne rented a car, good thing, we were a few miles from anything. It was nice not to walk with the wagon to re-supply. The girls did the shopping while I cleaned the outside of the boat. Later we went downtown. The streets were filled with people. Spring Break? Savannah is an open container city, well at least the waterfront is, so everyone is carded to purchase an adult beverage. No ID no drink. I enjoyed my H2O. We returned Thursday to the waterfront. Joanne wanted to try a


restaurant that served peanutbutter and jelly chicken. Weird but tasty
I had pictures of some sites we visited but cannot find any. I don't know what happened.

On My Way Again

U I'm  It was Saturday morning when I left Riverside Marina. I rode the current down the river, pausing at Pea Island, while waiting for the current to change.  I spent the night in the Cohansey River. Next morning,  still flowing with the current, traveled to Cape May,  got fuel, rested a bit, then headed for Sandy Hook. The sun was setting when I passed Atlantic City. It would be well pass sunrise when I stopped,anchored at Sandy Hook. I slept awhile and continued North into New York Harbor. All was well until it wasn't. My fuel problem reappeared.  I was restricted to 5mph. New York Harbor is busy normally, but this was the 4th of July.  I thought about stopping to watch the fireworks,  just fot a split second . Mission Accomplished  !!!!!!! BAR-B-Q crossed her  wake Saturday May 21st, 2022 after leaving Riverside Marina  May 17th, 2021. What a life!!!! So many friendly people to share tall tales and adventures  with. What a boating experience.  We traveled about 7000 miles on our loop. We did side trips, one that put through the SOO LOCK into Lake Superior. Our destination was Whitefish Point. There are docks protected by a breakwall, but no power or water. That's the reason we are self-sufficient. Another side trip was up to Chattanooga,  TN. The last major side trip was the St John's River through "Old Florida". Smaller trip Cape Lookout to Ocracoke Island via Atlantic Ocean. A total of 79 lockages and countless bridge openings were made. I gained in experience and problem solving. Ocean run to Ocracoke

Cape Lookout Guard   I decided to an off shore run up Core Banks to Ocracoke Inlet. First I had to go east about seven miles out into the sea before I could head North. The Lighthouse is a warning for treacherous waters. I could see waves breaking offshore when the waters hit the shoals, something to defiantly to avoid. Safely pass the shoals I turned North, set the autopilot, and watched TV. There were no other vessels anywhere in sight. '  The black line is the 3 nautical line Tried some fishing no catching  The quiet run up the coast quickly turn to a white knuckle experience.  The Ocracoke Inlet is shoaled, the ATONS (aids to navigation) are out of place. Without local knowledge,  the inlet is treacherous. Poseidon, Neptune or just  luck was looking out for me this day.  I met a charter fishing vessel who guided me into Silver Lake, Ocracoke's harbor.
